A leading healthcare firm in England seeks an experienced Commercial Director to oversee revenue growth and manage commercial strategies for its Toxicology division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract negotiation and team leadership. This role is based in Abingdon and involves some travel. Excellent communication skills and a degree in a relevant field are required.

Our Toxicology Business part of Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is currently recruiting for a Commercial Director due to an intenral promotion. The role would be based in our Abingdon (Oxfordshire) office with 25% travelling anticipated within the UK and occasional travel overseas.
This role is part of the Toxicology Senior Leadership Team and oversees a team of approximately 27 employees / contingent staff with 7 direct reports.
As the Commercial Director you will establish and achieve sales goals and objectives in specified markets and geographical territories in support of Abbott Toxicologys International Services overall strategic plan.
The Commercial Director will be responsible for the development ownership and delivery of the Abbott Toxicology International UK and Ireland commercial strategy across a complex mix of public and private sector customers in seven industry verticals (Abbott Toxicology and Abbott Healthcare Connections). Abbott Toxicology International includes the Global Maritime business and the Global Aviation services business. A key priority of this role will be to lead and manage the commercial teams responsible for all areas of both existing and new business development and to lead on embedding Abbotts commercial excellence into the Toxicology Business. These teams include field sales force tender and bids business development market access implementation customer training key account management and strategic commercial excellence.
