Job summary

Bimplus in Central London is seeking a Commercial Director to lead the commercial function of a growing Main Contractor. Salary £110,000–£140,000 plus car allowance and the opportunity to shape the business across cladding and new build residential projects.

You will lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals, drive performance across cladding, façade and residential schemes, manage strategy, cost control, procurement and risk, and work closely with senior leaders to ensure

Qualifications

• Senior commercial management experience in a Main Contractor.
• Proven track record as Commercial Director, Commercial Manager or senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in new build residential construction with cladding/façade exposure.
• Solid knowledge of contracts, risk management, procurement and project financials.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management with strategic and delivery focus.

Job Description

Leading a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals as Commercial Director, providing clear direction, development and leadership across the commercial function.

Driving the commercial performance of cladding, façade and new build residential projects across Central London as the senior commercial leader.

Managing commercial strategy, cost control, forecasting, valuations, variations, procurement, risk and final accounts across the project portfolio.

Working closely with the senior leadership, operations, estimating and pre-construction teams to support the successful delivery and profitable growth of the business.

Building strong relationships with clients, developers, consultants and supply chain partners while playing a key role as Commercial Director in the continued growth of the Main Contractor.

Skills / Qualifications

Main Contractor background with significant experience in a senior commercial management role within the construction industry.

Proven experience as a Commercial Director, Commercial Manager or senior Quantity Surveyor, with a strong track record of leading and developing a commercial team.

Strong experience across new build residential construction, with cladding, façade or external envelope experience highly advantageous for the Commercial Director role.

Commercially astute with strong knowledge of construction contracts, risk management, procurement, cost control and project financial performance.

Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate strategically as a Commercial Director while maintaining a detailed understanding of project-level commercial delivery in Central London.
