Job description

We are seeking an exceptional and commercially driven Commercial Director to lead and shape Encirc's Glass & Beverages commercial agenda across the UK and Ireland. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Encirc, with a dotted-line operational report to the Chief Sales Officer, Vidrala, this role is a key member of the Encirc Executive Committee (ExCo) and plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth, profitability, and market leadership. This is a highly visible leadership position with full P&L accountability, responsibility for strategic sales and marketing direction, and ownership of customer excellence across a diverse and evolving portfolio.

Key Requirements

  • Lead and deliver the Company Mission, Purpose, and values across multi-site Sales, Customer Development, and Customer Excellence teams.
  • Set and execute the commercial and sales strategy aligned to the 5-year plan, driving sustainable revenue, margin, and market share growth.
  • Inspire high performance through strong leadership, coaching, succession planning, and an inclusive, GPTW-accredited culture.
  • Build senior-level customer partnerships and position the business as supplier of choice through outstanding service and joint business planning.
  • Drive business development, new market entry, and portfolio growth across Glass and Beverages.
  • Ensure best-in-class sales operations, demand planning, and use of platforms (e.g. Salesforce) to maximise efficiency and customer value.
  • Deliver P&L, revenue, and cost targets, managing selling expenses within budget.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ExCo and senior leaders to align commercial strategy with business objectives.
  • Champion Zero Harm, wellbeing, diversity, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
