We are hunting for a seasoned Commercial Director to showcase their skills and abilities within our client's leading infrastructure firm. A permanent position is on offer, for one individual to operate on a hybrid basis from their main office in Bristol, with a requirement to travel to their sites across South Wales and the Southwest, and a monthly presence at their Birmingham head office. Lead and oversee the commercial team across a range of power transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities
- Manage business and commercial strategy planning, supporting the Business Unit Director, focusing on resource planning, tender governance, and client-winning work.
- Lead pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities, including risk assessments, contract reviews, general administration, and negotiations.
- Nurture financial performance across cash flow management, forecasting, cost reporting, WIP control, and the locating of opportunities for margin improvement.
- Liaise with project teams, conducting frequent review meetings, allowing for issues to be identified and resolved with operational, insurance and legal stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with year-end audit and corporate governance requirements, whilst overseeing business performance with regards to annual goals.
- Promote effective leadership allowing for project teams to operate proactively and to a high standard.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent, in Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline.
- Extensive demonstrable experience as a Commercial Director, or a related position, operating on Power Distribution and Transmission projects.
- Significant understanding of Contract Law, Standard Forms of Contract, and Standard Methods of Measurement, with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive high quality performance, whilst promoting business growth and development.
- Possession of a Full UK driving licence, with an ability to travel between sites and offices when required.
