Support Function

The Support function provides the specialist expertise and operational backbone that helps PortSwigger run effectively and scale well. It brings together teams across Culture, Finance, Technology and broader business support roles.

These teams create the conditions for others to do their best work by keeping the business well‑supported, well‑informed and running smoothly. Whether enabling better decisions, improving day‑to‑day experiences, or maintaining the systems and foundations we rely on, the Support function plays a vital role in helping PortSwigger operate with clarity, care and resilience.

The Role

We are looking for a strategically minded analytical partner who can operate at the intersection of data, commercial insight, and AI‑enabled problem solving.

This role is not about producing dashboards or servicing reporting requests. It is about investigating difficult business questions, navigating ambiguity, and helping the organisation make better strategic decisions through thoughtful analysis and judgement.

You will work across multiple business domains, partnering closely with stakeholders to understand problems deeply, challenge assumptions constructively, and generate insight that influences direction and action.

You will also help shape how analytical work evolves in an AI‑first environment—combining human judgement with AI‑enabled workflows to improve the quality, speed, and effectiveness of decision‑making across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading complex analytical investigations across strategic, operational, and commercial topics
• Translating ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches
• Combining multiple data sources to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities
• Producing clear recommendations that influence senior stakeholders and decision‑making
• Partnering cross‑functionally across technical and non‑technical teams
• Evaluating AI‑assisted analytical outputs critically and pragmatically
• Helping improve how analytical work is performed across the organisation
• Building frameworks, approaches, and systems that create long‑term organisational value
• Surfacing uncertainty, trade‑offs, and assumptions transparently
• Contributing to a culture of intellectual curiosity, rigour, and continuous learning

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Strong analytical and strategic reasoning capability
• Experience solving commercially meaningful problems in ambiguous environments
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences
• Strong judgement around data quality, uncertainty, and decision‑making
• Experience working with AI‑enabled analytical workflows or strong curiosity to develop in this space
• Comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building capability
• High intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
• Evidence of influencing strategic decisions through analysis and insight

Desirable

• Experience operating in scaling or transforming businesses
• SQL and/or Python capability
• Experience evaluating AI‑generated analytical outputs critically
• Experience improving analytical capability or decision‑making systems within organisations
• Exposure to commercial strategy, operations, product, or finance environments
