Where I’d work: This role will be based in our new office at Leeds Valley Park. There will hybrid working in place, with an expectation to be in the office for 1-2 days per week.
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Commercial Services plays a critical role in enabling the business to deliver its long‑term strategy and maintain financial stability through effective procurement and commercial management. The function works closely with the wider business and supply chain to secure value, manage risk, and ensure robust commercial outcomes.
Within Commercial Services, Commercial Excellence leads our Centre of Excellence approach— managing portfolio performance, setting clear standards and supporting our improvement journey across the department.
This role plays an important part in supporting the effective operation of the Performance & Governance team through strong coordination, stakeholder engagement and governance support. Working across Commercial Services, the role contributes to the planning, performance and governance activities that provide visibility, oversight and support informed decision-making across a function with an annual spend of approximately £1.5bn.
The role is responsible for coordinating key activities, ensuring governance processes operate effectively and supporting the delivery of priorities across the function. The successful candidate will work with stakeholders at all levels, helping connect people, information and processes to drive consistency, improve ways of working and support the successful delivery of business objectives.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, takes ownership of outcomes and can build strong working relationships across a broad stakeholder network. This role offers genuine responsibility and influence, requiring excellent organisational skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing improvements.
