A leading global provider of information and analytics is seeking a Commercial Controller to deliver financial insights for the Academic & Government Solutions organization. You will provide analytical support, manage reporting, and assist in budgeting for significant revenue streams. The ideal candidate should have a Master's in Finance or CPA_CA, strong analytical skills, and experience with financial systems. Our team partners with the business to deliver effective support for company objectives and operational initiatives. We play a key role in providing guidance on governance and controls. Leveraging deep business knowledge, constructive feedback and valuable insights, we help shape strategic ambitions.
You will report directly to the Finance Manager A & G Solutions and collaborate closely with the A & G Solutions Product organization, which optimizes our total asset base to identify opportunities to solve customer challenges, both now and in the future.
In this role, you will also receive support from the global Finance Centre of Expertise.
You will provide financial and business support primarily to the complex and fast‑growing Academic & Government Solutions organization, whose products are sold across Elsevier.
In this global role, you will work closely with the product and sales organizations, as well as partner with other business support teams.
Through strong analytical skills, you will provide geographical insights, challenge and advise stakeholders on opportunities, and flag risks and potential actions early.
Your contribution will help the business drive long‑term, sustainable, and profitable growth.
This is a key role within the Finance Business Decision Support Team, aimed at improving effectiveness and support for Elsevier, a division of RELX plc.
