Job description

Commercial law firm in Leeds is looking to recruit a Commercial Contracts lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The team works on national and cross border matters. They have an enviable client base and undertake a range of work types including commercial contracts, IT outsourcing, business process outsourcing, facilities management outsourcing, logistics, SaaS, cloud arrangements and Intellectual Property protection and exploitation. The successful candidate will contribute to a broad range of commercial matters across one or more key sectors, including retail & consumer, sports, tech, financial services, advanced manufacturing, aviation, digital, and health. From day to day, you will advise clients on the full lifecycle of commercial arrangements, involving the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts on both the customer and supplier sides. You will take ownership of your own matters, demonstrating strong project management skills, while also collaborating with partners and managing associates on larger, more complex transactions. The role will also involve advising on issues relating to general commercial contracts, IT, data protection, and intellectual property.

Applicants will have a desire to work for FTSE 100 clients on market-leading work and, ideally, havesome experience of IP and IT transactions such as software licensing and support, Saas, hardware purchase and IT managed services.
