Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Solicitor or Associate with 2+ years PQE in commercial contracts and IP to join its Cardiff office. The role offers hybrid working and a diverse client base across sectors.

You will advise on commercial agreements, IP ownership and data protection, manage your own caseload with support from senior colleagues, and contribute to business development while building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PQE in commercial contracts and IP law.
• A 2:1 degree or above.
• Strong knowledge of data protection legislation.
• Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing work.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for networking and growth.
• Collaborative and dynamic teamwork approach.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements (NDAs, supply contracts, T&Cs, collaboration and development agreements).
• Advising on IP ownership, protection, and licensing.
• Providing guidance on data protection compliance.
• Managing your own caseload with support from senior colleagues.
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
