Job summary

Schroders Group in London seeks an in-house commercial lawyer to join the Corporate Legal team. You will draft and negotiate a range of third party commercial and transactional contracts, including IT service provider contracts, master services agreements and NDAs, liaising with Procurement, IT, Marketing and Finance.

Applicants should be qualified with 3+ PQE and demonstrate exceptional communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 3+ PQE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and procedure.
• Strong organisational/prioritisation skills including ability to track and report on progress of commercial contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead on drafting and negotiation of Schroders’ third party commercial and transactional contracts.
• Draft/ negotiate IT service provider contracts, master services agreements, engagement letters, NDAs and other third party agreements.
• Liaise with Procurement, IT, Marketing, Finance, HR and Market Data functions to negotiate and execute commercial contracts.
• Contribute to process efficiencies and management information; supervise trainee lawyers and paralegals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree 2:1 or equivalent
