Job summary

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a leading UK infrastructure and engineering business to recruit a Legal Counsel for a permanent, full-time role in Leeds with hybrid working. The role focuses on commercial, construction and engineering matters, offering exposure to tendering, contract negotiation and dispute support.

The successful candidate will have around 3+ years' PQE, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and familiarity with NEC/JCT contracts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in commercial law or in-house equivalent.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial, construction and engineering contracts.
• Support the business through contract lifecycle: tendering, negotiations, delivery and variations.
• Review NEC, JCT and other standard form or bespoke agreements and provide practical advice.
