Job summary

Hays are supporting an established independent property consultancy in Glasgow, seeking a Building Surveyor to join their team. You will deliver professional and project-based surveying services across commercial property portfolios, including due diligence, surveys, condition assessments and defect investigations.

Qualifications

• Building Surveying experience in a consultancy, client-side or related property environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial property and building pathology.
• Experience producing professional surveying reports and technical advice.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to problem-solving.
• Full UK driving licence (where required to undertake site-based duties).

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of professional and project-based surveying services across commercial property portfolios.
• Your workload includes technical due diligence, pre-acquisition surveys, property condition assessments and defect investigations.
• Support refurbishment, repair and development monitoring instructions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across surveying, project management and cost consultancy teams to provide commercially focused advice.
