Job summary

The Stepstone Group is looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our team and help develop and maintain data models and reports that power commercial decision‑making across the Group.

You will drive efficiency by automating existing reports, extending data sources to include marketing and finance, and delivering insights to stakeholders with Power BI.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial analytics, BI, or analytics engineering.
  • End-to-end data skillset from SQL-based modelling to Power BI report delivery.
  • Proactive problem solver with ability to investigate data issues across the pipeline.
  • High attention to detail for financial and sales data accuracy.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data models and datasets for Power BI by integrating multiple data sources.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and auditability through validation, reconciliation, and data flow documentation.
  • Drive efficiency through automation and AI‑supported data transformation, validation, and anomaly detection.
  • Manage and optimise Power BI environments, including datasets, refresh processes, performance tuning, and access control.
  • Provide ongoing reporting support and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance datasets and reporting capabilities.

Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our team, responsible for developing and maintaining the data models and reports that power commercial decision‑making across the Group.

A key part of this role is driving efficiency – automating and streamlining existing reports, improving data processes, and optimising how we deliver insights to the business. A further focus is extending our data horizon by integrating marketing and finance data sources to broaden reporting capability. You will work in cross‑border teams and build strong relationships with operational and commercial Finance teams across the Group.

  • Develop and maintain scalable data models and datasets for Power BI, integrating multiple data sources (e.g. commercial, marketing, finance)
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and auditability through validation, reconciliation, and documentation of data flows
  • Drive efficiency through automation and AI‑supported data transformation, validation, and anomaly detection
  • Manage and optimise Power BI environments, including datasets, refresh processes, performance tuning, and access control
  • Provide ongoing reporting support, resolving data issues and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance datasets and reporting capabilities
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial analytics, BI, or analytics engineering
  • Strong end‑to‑end data skillset, from SQL‑based modelling to Power BI report delivery
  • Proactive, independent problem solver with the ability to investigate data issues across the full pipeline
