Job summary

Burberry is seeking a permanent engineer to join a squad and translate user stories into production-ready software powering Burberry.com and omnichannel experiences.

You will design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software with a strong craftsmanship mindset in a DevOps environment, collaborating with engineering managers, architects, and testers to ensure end-to-end product delivery.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience in a product-oriented environment.
• Experience operating in a DevOps model with responsibility for monitoring and reliability.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, test automation, and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate software within an agile squad.
• Write clean, secure, and well-tested code aligned to engineering standards.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and backlog refinement, providing engineering input.
• Contribute to backlog refinement by assessing feasibility and dependencies.
• Own operational health of the squad’s product, including monitoring and incident response.
• Conduct peer code reviews and build automated tests to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to align with designs and constraints.
• Support and challenge third-party partners to meet Burberry standards.
