Qualifications

  • Experience with grinding processes is highly desirable, but training will be provided.
  • Willingness to travel for service or aftermarket departments as required.
  • Flexibility in working hours, with occasional shifts and overtime.

About the job :
In the role you will :
  • Check the machine is built to the customers specifications as detailed within the Factory Order.
  • Fault find and diagnose machine set‑up and process issues.
  • Carry out the tasks on the inspection check list, problem solving and making mechanical and program adjustments where required.
  • Ensure that the machine is prepared for customer demonstration and carry out machine demonstrations to the customer during machine acceptance.
  • Work with the engineering & build team in the completion of any internal or customer nonconformances, to support a closed loop feedback and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Produce the shipment list and oversee the machine shipment as it leaves plant.
  • Complete the inspection documentation and final report.
  • When required install, test and commission the machine on customers site dealing with nonconformances during the re‑build and commissioning phase.
About you :
  • NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • A mechanical qualification also would be highly advantageous, however is not essential.
  • A knowledge of machine tools is essential.
  • Experienced in Soft PLC to iec61131
  • Understanding of Field Bus Profinet, Profibus.
  • Knowledge of grinding processes is highly desirable but full training will be given.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for the service / aftermarket departments when required.
  • Ability to be flexible in working time; on occasion there will be a requirement to work different shifts and overtime.
