National Gas is hiring a COMAH Compliance Engineer to provide specialist safety, security and environmental compliance support across Operational Regions and National Gas Services. Based at St Fergus in Scotland, this site-based role requires navigating a highly regulated environment, with occasional travel to Aberdeen Compressor Station.
£55,500 to £65,500 + up to 6% bonus
Location: St Fergus
Site-based, 5 days a week

As a COMAH Compliance Engineer, you will provide specialist process safety, security and environmental compliance support across Operational Regions and National Gas Services in compliance with legislation, regulations and company standards while driving continuous improvement in safety and operational performance.
Process safety, environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance are critical to the reliable operation of National Gas assets and infrastructure. This role provides the expertise and assurance needed to protect people, assets and the environment while ensuring compliance with industry legislation and standards.
Working closely with operational teams, regulators and external stakeholders, the COMAH Compliance Engineer plays a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, managing risk, supporting incident investigations and helping the business deliver safe, efficient and compliant operations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a highly regulated operational environment, influencing positive safety behaviours and providing expert guidance to maintain the highest standards of compliance and performance.
