Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a passion for colours and a keen eye for precision?

We are seeking a highly skilled Colour Technologist to play a pivotal role in our dynamic team. As a Colour Technologist, you will find yourself at the forefront of our operations, leveraging your analytical prowess to ensure the seamless implementation and execution of digital colour processes. Your superior colour vision and extensive experience in colour evaluation will be the cornerstone of your success in this role. But that's not all; your adaptivity, spanning from mental tasks such as system processing to hands‑on responsibilities like filing and maintaining our colour lab, will be equally critical.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Initiating review and validating daily lab‑dips and bulk colour submissions to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Working closely with product development teams to ensure that colours are consistent, accurate, and aligned with design and production goals.
  • Coordinating with suppliers (vendors and mills) to manage the submission process, ensuring colour samples are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Tracking and following up with suppliers to ensure on‑time approvals for both lab dips and bulk production.
  • Maintaining strong, professional relationships with suppliers to ensure ongoing collaboration and continuous improvement in processes, evaluating mills and vendors performance (physical and digital).
  • Attending and actively participating in colour development meetings, providing input and updates on the status of ongoing submissions.
  • Communicating any challenges, delays, or issues with suppliers or colour samples to key stakeholders to manage the critical path.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (designers, developers, suppliers) to address any issues related to colour accuracy, production timelines, or adjustments needed.
  • Providing clear and precise reports on the status and progress of colour submissions, including any delays or challenges encountered.
  • Maintaining and updating tracking systems to monitor colour submission timelines, approvals, and supplier performance.
  • Maintaining accurate records of lad‑dip and bulk colour submissions, feedback, and approvals.
  • Managing PLM update for colour communication.
  • Owning the Colour Lab Library housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting colour discrepancies or issues during the development phase, offering solutions to resolve any problem proactively.
  • Implementing the Digital Colour platform with the Colour Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Experience in the textile industry with technological background.
  • Spectrophotometer operation experience and genuine fondness for digital colour management is essential.
  • Collaborative and team oriented.
  • Strong communication skills are essential and an ability to manage competing stakeholder demands.
  • A good understanding of the apparel design and development lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of colour application to support the aesthetic, functional, technical, and commercial needs of the product.
  • Good knowledge for Excel, Microsoft office suite and data management such as PLM.
  • It is essential that you have h igh level of colour perception: Munsell 100, superior colour vision.
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
  • Knowledge of textile manufacturing and use of dyestuffs to achieve desired colour.
  • The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, and address issues with colour execution.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
