Job summary

Sun Chemical is hiring a Colour Matcher to join the Colour Services team. You will match colours to customer requirements, prepare laboratory proofs, and create bespoke formulations using colour knowledge, inks and print processes.

Full training will be provided on colour matching techniques and the systems used. You will collaborate with Customer Service, Sales, and Operations to ensure colour requirements are understood and delivered.

Qualifications

• Able to work accurately with numerical data and follow procedures.
• Strong eye for colour and willingness to learn colour matching techniques.
• Good communication with colleagues across teams.

Responsibilities

• Carry out colour matching to customer standards and print requirements.
• Analyse colour measurement results and data visually and practically.
• Use colour measurement devices and laboratory proofing equipment safely.
• Prepare laboratory proofs on different substrates and ink technologies.
• Calculate blended formulations and prepare bespoke formulations.
• Create products and maintain product information in SAP and other platforms.
• Record and maintain data across systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide technical support and act as a primary colour-related contact.
