The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust in Salford, Greater Manchester, is recruiting a Straight to Test Triage Nurse (Band 7) on a fixed-term contract. The role offers a competitive NHS salary of £49,387 to £56,515 per year with visa sponsorship available for international applicants.

As Colorectal Triage CNS, you will lead telephone assessment and triage clinics for urgent referrals, contribute to the regional STT transformation, and support national targets for faster diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the NMC in the UK is required.
• Significant post-registration experience in colorectal nursing, gastroenterology or cancer care.
• Advanced clinical assessment and triage decision-making skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload.
• Excellent communication and empathy when conveying information.

Responsabilités

• Lead telephone assessment and triage clinics for urgent colorectal referrals.
• Assess suitability for endoscopic investigations and plan next steps.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and primary care to deliver a high-quality service.
• Support regional transformation programmes and national cancer targets.
