The Role

To meet the growing demand for our technology and services, we are seeking a Collections Team Lead to join our Collections & Recoveries department. In this role, you will be instrumental in unlocking the full potential of our people and driving exceptional team performance. You will recruit, develop and empower a high‑performing team while fostering a culture of accountability, growth and results. Working closely with other team leaders and senior leadership, ensuring our operations deliver maximum impact and efficiency.

What you will do

As a leader, you will recruit, develop, and manage a high‑performing team of Collections Agents, inspiring and motivating them to consistently meet and exceed KPIs and SLAs. You will provide ongoing coaching through regular one‑to‑one meetings, performance reviews, and team sessions, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and growth‑oriented culture.

In this role, you will oversee daily collections activities across multiple lending geographies, handle escalated or complex customer cases with professionalism and empathy, and work closely with Customer Success and other departments to resolve issues and embed best practices.

You will drive efficiency through process improvements and the smart use of data and automation, ensuring all activities comply with internal policies, FCA guidelines, and TCF principles. Using data and analytics, you will monitor performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions, while championing fair customer outcomes and sustainable repayment solutions.

Who you are
  • Proven success leading and developing high‑performing collections / credit control teams.
  • Afacts‑based problem solver and have a get‑things‑done mentality.
  • Agreat communicator with an ability to drive team performance.
  • Strong use of Excel or any data analysis software is a plus.
  • Successfultrack recordof delivering against ambitious target.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, listening, and presentation skills.
  • You will be proactive, take ownership, and act with urgency.
Professional Profile
  • Understanding of debt management strategies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Minimum5+ years’ experience in Credit Control, Collections, or Debt Recovery.
  • Minimum3+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role within the same domain.
  • Experience managing teams of 5+ team member.
