Job summary

Royal Mail in Enfield is recruiting Delivery Drivers to collect parcels and letters along a fixed route, 11:00–18:30, Monday to Friday. You will be part of a trusted national service, driving or walking to complete daily collections while maintaining high customer-service standards.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, at least one year of van-driving experience, and a strong fitness level to cope with outdoor work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than six points.
• Minimum 1 year experience driving transit size vans.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated with good fitness.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather and meet route demands.

Responsibilities

• Collect parcels and letters quickly and efficiently.
• Drive and/or walk a dedicated route while upholding high service standards.
• Sort mail/parcels at the delivery office as required.

Royal Mail deliver letters and parcels every day to people throughout the country and are relied on by communities across the UK. We are now looking for Delivery Drivers to be a part of this world-class service.

You will be responsible for collecting parcels and letters quickly and efficiently, by driving and/or walking on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service! Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office.

• The role is working a minimum of 5 days a week between the days of Monday to Friday. (Shift times may vary)
• Shift time is 11:00 - 18:30
• Basic pay rate - £16.24ph
• Temporary

As a Collections Driver, you will need the following:

• Full UK driving licence, with no more than six points. (Subject to conditions)
• A minimum of 1 year experience in driving transit size vans.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Upbeat and self-motivated.
• Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather.
• Good level of fitness to meet demands of the role.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Resilience and flexibility.
