Job summary

Wiltshire Farm Foods is recruiting for a warehouse/packing role in a chilly cold-store environment. You will pack frozen orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, with shifts that include 5 days out of 6 and bank holidays. Protective clothing is provided and breaks are scheduled to warm up.

The role reports to the Depot Operations Manager and involves working alongside the office team to keep orders flowing smoothly while maintaining health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be numerate and able to manage basic calculations.
• Reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
• Able to work in a busy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Pack customers' frozen orders accurately for dispatch.
• Ensure orders picked and placed into the correct cage for the next morning.
• Assist the office team where appropriate.
• Report health and safety, stock quality and mechanical issues.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.

Job description

This role is working 40 hours per week, working any 5 in 6 including bank holiday.

Our customers are predominantly elderly and rely upon our office teams to take their orders over the phone or via the internet. The ultimate goal is to provide a service to our customers that exceeds expectations while at the same time continuously improving efficiencies.

The cold store runs at a chilly -20 degrees centigrade but don’t worry, protective clothing designed to deal with this temperature will be provided along with breaks to warm up and have a hot drink when necessary.

Reporting to the Depot Operations Manager, you are responsible for helping to pack customers frozen orders ready for dispatch in a timely and accurate manner.

£13.45 per hour + bonus + company benefits.

• You will be responsible for ensuring customers orders that come in later during the day are accurately picked and placed of the corrisponding cage ready for the next morning.
