Bupa UK is seeking a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for Mindplace Exeter. This part-time, permanent role requires a BABCP-accredited CBT qualification and substantial post-qualification CBT delivery experience.

The position involves flexible delivery modes and a focus on high-quality client care. Based in Exeter Mindplace, the role supports a multi-disciplinary team with regular supervision and opportunities to contribute to wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications

• BABCP accreditation is required.
• Post-graduate diploma in CBT (BABCP accredited).
• At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience delivering high-intensity CBT.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality CBT or low-level brief interventions with strong clinical outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to determine the best care pathway.
• Offer face-to-face, telephone or video sessions based on client preference.
• Adhere to case management processes and collaborate with leads and therapy team.
• Manage session limits and work toward therapeutic recovery goals.
• Provide signposting or referrals when required.
• Deliver group psychoeducation and wellbeing support as needed.
• Work autonomously within professional guidelines and organisational policies.
• Attend regular clinical supervision and support from the team.
• Identify improvements to client and employee experiences.

Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist - Face to Face - Mindplace Exeter

Salary: From £47,000 per annum** plus excellent Bupa benefits

• Based on full-time hours, as this role is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata

Clinic opening hours

Monday to Sunday.

The two shift patterns available are 8am-4pm and 2pm-10pm.

We are looking for someone to work part-time, a minimum of 2 days per week, on any days across the week - with at least one of those days being a late shift.

Each day will include 5 appointments

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen By

The Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist will provide high quality, safe and effective Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy.

The Role Will Involve The Following

• To provide high-quality Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or low-level brief interventions which demonstrates excellent clinical outcomes.
• To deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations that drive evidence-based intervention. To ensure a thorough assessment determines the most appropriate pathway of care and support for the client.
• To provide different models of service delivery including face-to-face, telephone or video consultations, depending on client preference.
• To adhere to Bupa’s case management processes and work collaboratively with the Clinical Leads and wider therapy team.
• To adhere to sessional limits depending on the client’s monetary allowance as determined by their Private Medical Insurance, whilst working towards therapeutic recovery goals.
• To provide signposting or onwards referral as and when required.
• To provide ad-hoc or one-off wellbeing support and coaching as and when required.
• To provide one-off assessments and referral recommendations, when required.
• To work at a client level to provide group psychoeducation, raising awareness of mental health and wellbeing, promotion of mental wellbeing guidance via remote presentation, workshop events and training as and when required.
• To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of Bupa’s service policies and procedures.
• To attend regular clinical supervision, both individually and group based, to support clinical practice, in line with BUPA and professional body guidelines.
• To work with the operational and clinical team to identify ways to improve client and employee experiences.

Essential

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

• Full Accreditation with British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
• Holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT/High Intensity) which is BABCP accredited.
• At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience providing high intensity CBT interventions, working with clients who have a range of presentations.

DESIRABLE

• Training and accreditation in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological treatment, such as EMDR.
• Corporate experience and business understanding.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
