Job summary

A leading engineering services provider in Irvine, Scotland, is seeking a Coded MMA Welder for a new build industrial site. The successful candidate will execute high-quality manual metal arc welding on heavy plate work, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. This role offers a competitive rate, with expected hours of 10 per day, Monday to Friday, and a duration of 4-6 months. Candidates must hold relevant welding qualifications and have experience in industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy plate welding on industrial or construction projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and weld maps.
• Experience with overhead crane use or heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform coded MMA welding on carbon steel plate, structural steelwork, or fabricated assemblies.
• Conduct welding to coded standards with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all welding equipment is properly maintained and safe to operate.
