North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Cleansing Operative to join Scarborough’s Street Cleansing Team. You will help keep public spaces clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors, working as part of a small local team across Scarborough and the surrounding area.

The role involves outdoor physical work, training provided, and a commitment to high standards. A full UK driving licence is required, with weekend and seasonal shift patterns common.

Responsabilidades

• Litter picking and cleansing public spaces.
• Emptying litter and recycling bins.
• Graffiti removal and cleaning public conveniences.
• Maintaining streets, footpaths, parks and open spaces.
• Assisting during flood events and sandbag distribution.
• Investigating illegally dumped waste to support enforcement.
• Supporting waste and recycling collection when needed.
