Job summary

FirstGroup plc, the UK transport leader, is seeking an NVQ Level 3 qualified Coachbuilder to join our busy First Bus Slough Depot. PSV/HGV bodywork experience is valuable, but we welcome candidates with any light vehicle bodywork or accident repair background who want to build on their skills.

This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri 8am–4pm, paying £23.11 per hour (£48,068 per year). A UK driving licence is required, and background checks will be conducted as part of our recruitment

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) with proven coachbuilding/body repair experience.
• Welding experience is desirable.
• Experience in vehicle accident repair and painting.
• Valid UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting accident bodywork repairs and diagnosing any faults.
• Performing collision and vandalism repairs, including windows, panel and fibreglass work.
• Interior repairs on seating and flooring and air operated door systems.
• Paint preparation and any minor bodywork paint repairs and touch ups.
• Addressing routine inspection findings and defect cards.
• Documenting repairs for third-party insurance claims.

We are now looking for an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Coachbuilder to join the busy team at our First Bus Slough Depot – PSV or HGV bodywork experience is great however we love to hear from candidates with any light vehicle bodywork or accident repair experience who are looking to build on their skill base and work on some larger vehicles - interior and exterior!

Key Details:

• £23.11 per hour
• £48,068 annual salary
• 40 hours per week
• Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For:

• Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent), with proven coachbuilding/body repair work experience?
• Do you have welding experience?
• Have you working experience in vehicle accident repair and painting?
• Do you have a valid UK driving license?
