Job summary

Major Recruitment in Sheffield is seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Borer / Turner to operate Webster Bennett CNC vertical borers up to 2.2m, producing large castings, forgings and fabrications.

You will work with Fanuc, Fagor and Siemens controls, maintain tight tolerances, read engineering drawings, and contribute to high-value projects with excellent overtime rates.

This role offers long-term stability, nights shift option, and potential career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience machining carbon steel, stainless, duplex, copper & titanium.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings & inspection equipment.
• Reliable and quality-focused CNC vertical borers/turners.

Responsibilities

• Operate Webster Bennett CNC vertical borers (up to 2.2m).
• Work with Fanuc, Fagor & Siemens controls.
• Machine large castings, forgings & fabrications.
