A precision engineering company in West Midlands is seeking a skilled CNC Setter Operator to contribute to the manufacturing of high-precision components for critical industries like nuclear and defense. The ideal candidate should have expertise with Fanuc-controlled lathes and be proficient in reading engineering drawings. This role offers an hourly rate of £15 - £18, overtime opportunities, and benefits including 34 days holiday and a supportive work environment. As a CNC Setter you are someone who works best when the setup's solid, the drawings are clear, and the machine is running just right. You're not chasing targets or cutting corners, as part of the team here, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high‑precision components for critical industries such as nuclear, defense, and oil and gas.

Someone who spots something's off before it becomes a problem. If that sounds like you, this could be somewhere you will fit right into. It's not just pressing buttons; you'll be setting and operating CNC lathes using 2 and mottors 3 axis Fanuc controls.
You may be working on conventional CNCs, Twin spindle and twin turret, Doosan's, Biglia's and sliding head machines, machines that are maintained properly, with everything you need to do a good job.
As a CNC Setter Operator, you'll be involved from the start of the job.
Completing full machine set ups on various types and sizes of machines.
Editing programmes when needed. Checking everything is to the required standard. There's a team of engineers and programmers around you, but you'll be trusted to get on with things and do them properly. Why would youigu leave where you are? An hourly rate of between £15 - £18
Monday to Thursday 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm
Friday 7 : 30am to 3 : 30pm
Overtime available at time and a half and double time.

A CNC Setter Operator who gets the job done As a setter / operator, you are someone who is competent in reading drawings using measuring equipment, i.e. verniers micrometers thread micrometers caliper gauges ring gauges and working to tight tolerances also working closely with inspection.
