CNC Turning Programmer

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per annum

Shift: Day Shift (Monday-Friday)

About the Company

Our client is a well-established precision engineering company based in Gloucester, specialising in high-quality, low-volume components for a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC Turning Programmer to join their friendly and skilled team.

The Role

As a CNC Turning Programmer, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls. You'll take ownership of producing precision components from technical drawings, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls
  • Create and modify programs using OneCNC CADCAM software
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Work to tight tolerances and ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Carry out first-off inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimise machining processes
About You
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner / Programmer
  • Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
  • Proficient in OneCNC CADCAM or similar software
  • Able to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving
