A hidden gem of a specialist precision engineering company in Gloucestershire is looking to hire a CNC Turner Setter Operator on a permanent basis. The company has clean, bright, modern premises and a mix of well‑maintained machinery and brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art CNC equipment.

Role

Job title: CNC Turner Setter/Operator

Location: Tewkesbury (easily commutable from Worcester, Evesham, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Malvern and surrounding areas)

Hours: 39‑hour working week, twilight shift, four shifts per week (Monday to Thursday). Overtime is readily available.

Salary/Pay: £40,000 to £46,000 per annum

Contract type: permanent

Responsibilities

• Set up a CNC lathe – select and upload the required program.
• Select the appropriate tooling.
• Use standard measuring equipment (verniers, gauges, etc.) to check work against drawings.
• Submit work to the inspection team for first‑off approval.

Qualifications

• Experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator (minimum 3 years of experience preferred; less experience with equivalent skills accepted).
• Familiarity with Fanuc and Mazak controls is desirable, but training will be provided for controls used by the company.
• Ability to complete a full set‑up of a CNC lathe and use measuring equipment to verify tolerances.
