A hidden gem of a specialist precision engineering company in Gloucestershire is looking to hire two CNC Turner Setter Operators on a permanent basis to work full time, five days a week with a lunchtime finish every Friday (this company is also looking to hire someone on their twilight shift).

With clean, bright, modern premises and a mix of well‑maintained machinery and brand new state of the art CNC equipment, their facilities provide a very nice environment to work in.

You won’t have heard of this company because jobs only come up when someone retires or when there’s growth but this company has been supplying precision engineered products to a wide variety of specialist industries for many years from their purpose‑built facility just off junction 9 of the M5 motorway in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

As a new employee, you’ll be buddied up with an experienced member of the team until you’re all trained up and happy. They’ve not long taken on a CNC machinist to join the team and this person is thriving with the training and support they’ve been given. They’ve been very happy and they’re already progressing well.

This company is now in a position to take on another CNC Turner Setter Operator to join the team on the twilight shift as they prepare for growth in business over the next five years.

What experience will you need?

You’ll need to be an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator, you don’t need programming experience because this company has people to do this. The control panel you normally use isn't important because they can train you on the controls they use (they use mostly Fanuc and Mazak controls).

You’ll probably have more than three years of experience but if you have the skills already with less time on the job, then we would welcome your application too.

You need to be able to complete a full set up of a CNC lathe, selecting and uploading the program you need, selecting the right tooling, using standard measuring equipment like verniers and gauges to check your work against the drawing before submitting your work to the inspection team for first‑off approval.

Job title: CNC Turner Setter Operator

Location: Tewkesbury, easily commutable from Worcester, Evesham, Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Malvern and surrounding areas.

Working hours: 39 hour working week, working day shift Monday to Friday, with a lunchtime finish every Friday. Lots of overtime readily available.

Salary/Pay rate: £31,000 to £36,000 per annum. Please do get in touch with your earnings requirements.
