Salary: £17 – £20 per hour (depending on experience) + Overtime (x1.5)

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm; Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm

The Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our growing team. You will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC lathes, primarily Mazak machines with Mazatrol controls, to produce precision components to exacting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid CNC turning experience who is eager to develop further, with exposure to a wide variety of machinery and the latest CAD/CAM technology.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and program CNC turning centres (Mazak – Mazatrol controls).
• Work across 3 & 4 axis machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings to produce high-quality precision parts.
• Carry out first-off inspections and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Work with a range of batch sizes, from one-offs to larger runs.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven CNC turning experience (essential).
• Ability to program, set, and operate Mazak machines using Mazatrol controls.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM (advantageous – OneCNC experience preferred).
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work.
