Job description
CNC Turner Setter / Operator

Location: Near Camberley, Surrey

Salary: £14 to £20 per hour plus 1/3 shift uplift (£44,000–£56,000 per annum)

Nightshift: 46‑hour week Monday to Thursday, 17:00–05:00 am (overtime paid time and half)

Our client is a growing Aerospace Precision Engineering/Manufacturing company seeking an experienced CNC Turner for their nightshift in a clean, modern workshop equipped with state‑of‑the‑art machinery.

Commutable from Camberley, Yateley, Reading, Basingstoke, Woking, Aldershot, Guildford and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC Turning centres
  • Occasional editing of programmes
  • Use conversational systems such as Mazatrol and Hurco (training available)
  • Ensure programmes work effectively
  • Observe company health and safety rules
  • Perform general duties to support efficient running of the section
Previous Experience / Qualifications
  • Experience setting and operating 2‑axis Turning centres
  • Knowledge of CNC programmes (Fanuc, Mazatrol or similar conversational)
  • Proven setting and proving skills
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds, cutters, etc.
  • Proficient in using measuring instruments – micrometers, verniers, etc.
  • Capable of working at a high degree of complexity and accuracy
  • Strong prioritisation skills
