Are you an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator or CNC Miller Setter Operator looking for a new challenge in a high-precision, fast-paced environment?

A long-established and family-owned aerospace engineering company, is expanding its expert team in Bristol. The company is known for producing high-specification metallic components for the aerospace industry using cutting-edge technology and precision engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC Lathes (Fanuc) or 3/4/5 Axis CNC Milling Machines (Heidenhain).
  • Manufacture high-complexity aerospace components to tight tolerances from a range of materials.
  • Ensure parts are produced in line with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform regular inspections using precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Verniers, Plug Gauges, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate documentation including route cards and drawings.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement (5S, SQDCP).
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to planned set and run times.
  • Flexibility to support production across the client's other Bristol site if needed.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience setting and operating CNC machines - either turning (Fanuc) or milling (Heidenhain).
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances.
  • Familiarity with quality control processes and precision measuring tools.
  • Previous experience in the aerospace or precision engineering sectors (highly desirable).
  • A DBS check will be required.
