Qualifications

Job Role: CNC Turner - Late Shift

Hours: Monday–Wednesday 16:30-3:30, 16:30-1:30 on Thursday

Location: Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

Salary: £41,000-£51,000 per annum inclusive of shift allowance

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Interaction has partnered with a Precision Engineering firm based in Leighton Buzzard on their search for an experienced CNC Turner. Our client specialises in manufacturing low volume, high quality, tubular and threaded components and due to continuous expansion, they are actively hiring for an experienced CNC Turner as they are looking to expand their engineering team.

Duties
  • Responsible for manufacturing precise components to tight tolerances for an array of different industries.
  • Work from engineering drawings to set, operate and program 2-axis CNC Turning machinery, using Fanuc controls.
  • Carry out quality checks on your work, using different metrology equipment and CMM systems.
  • Carry out online programming from scratch using Fanuc ‘G’ and ‘M’ codes, as well as re-writing programs.
  • Producing one off, as well as low to medium volume precision parts in a range of hard and soft metals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in programming, setting and operating 2 axis lathes (essential)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (essential)
  • Previous experience using Fanuc controls to write and rewrite programs (essential)
  • Experience using metrology equipment and CMM systems (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications within precision engineering (advantageous)
  • Apprentice trained (advantageous)
