Qualifications

  • Minimum City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering relevant discipline (Desirable).
  • Competent and confident in setting, programming, and operating HAAS lathes.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate/programme Haas lathes to produce component parts.
  • Maintain a clean and manageable working area.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Schedule

We have vacancies on both days and nights.

Days Monday to Thursday 8am - 4:30pm, Friday 8am - 3:15pm.

Nights Monday to Thursday 6pm - 6am (25% night rate uplift).

Overview

The CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator will be required to set up and operate / programme Haas lathes to produce specific component parts to varying tolerances. Interesting and varied work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on HAAS SL30 and ST10 lathes
  • Produce component parts in tolerance of drawing specification
  • Keep a clean and manageable working area
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering relevant discipline (Desirable)
Key Skills & Abilities
  • Competent and confident in setting, programming and operating HAAS lathes
  • The ability to use relevant inspection measuring equipment
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Produce component parts in tolerance of drawing specification
  • General awareness of health and safety issues
  • Team player and ability to work on own initiative
