Job description
CNC Turner

Knaresborough, £18ph inc of shift allowance, 25 days holiday.

Immediate opportunities available for skilled and experienced CNC Turners to join a precision engineering company in Knaresborough. You will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC machines to produce complex, high‑quality parts to meet strict quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Set and run CNC lathes with Fanuc and Heidenheim controls.
  • Undertake tool changes, offsets and program editing.
  • Produce components to production deadlines.
  • Work to tight tolerances and strict quality standards (AS9001 & ISO 13485).
Shift Schedule

Working a rotational shift of earlies and lates:

  • 6am – 2pm Mon – Thurs, finish 12.30pm on Fridays
  • 2pm to 12.30pm Mon‑Wed, 2pm – 10.30pm Thurs, Fridays off
Qualifications
  • Ideally be apprentice trained and hold a relevant qualification.
  • Have confident CNC lathe setting and operating experience.
  • Have experience producing prototypes and first‑offs to drawings.
  • Ideally have worked in a variety of materials including polymers and metal.
  • Have experience with modern quality control standards and measurement of parts.
  • Have experience working to tight tolerances.
  • Have the ability to select, set and change machine tools.
  • Any experience of 5‑Axis or mill turn machines would be of great interest.
  • Have working knowledge of Fanuc or Heidenheim would be advantageous.
  • Programming experience is preferred but not essential.
