Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, vertical borers, mill-turns, and 5-axis machines using Fanuc controls
  • Produce precision-engineered components from technical drawings
  • Maintain tight tolerances and ensure first-time quality on all parts
  • Work efficiently to meet production cycle times and cost targets
  • Support process improvement initiatives and tooling optimisation
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth workflow
  • Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental policies
Requirements
  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or significant experience as a CNC Turner
  • Proven experience with Fanuc-controlled CNC machinery
  • Skilled in operating vertical borers, lathes, mill-turns, and 5-axis CNC machines
  • Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Good PC literacy and ability to complete technical reports accurately
