A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a client in Blackburn on a permanent basis. Candidates must have expertise in programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes, particularly with Fanuc controls. The ideal candidate will be responsible for machine maintenance and training newcomers. This role operates Monday to Friday with specific hours outlined.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC Lathes using Fanuc controls.
• Training and mentoring apprentices and new starters.
• Conduct in-process inspection with measuring equipment.

Job description

Due to an increase in work load and continued company growth we are recruiting a CNC Turner to join our client on a permanent basis near Blackburn.

Successful candidates will ideally be time served to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and specification.

Candidates will be required to programme, set and operate CNC Lathes utilising Fanuc controls therefore experience with this is a must.

Hours – Monday – Friday

• 06 : 00 – 14 : 15 Monday to Thursday / 0600 – 1200 Friday
• 13 : 45 – 22 : 00 Monday to Thursday / 12 : 00 – 18 : 00 Friday

The Ideal candidates will have :

• Setting and operating chucking CNC lathes using new and proven programs and tooling.
• Fanuc based machine experience
• Programming new parts using CAM software and conventional code
• Manual editing of past programs to improve efficiency and lead times.
• Evaluating new tooling solutions.
• Running multiple machines and working with multiple materials.
• Performing in process inspection using hand measuring equipment and CMM.
• Maintaining the machine on a daily basis including coolant conditioning to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Keeping the working area clean, tidy and organised.
• Training / mentoring of new apprentices and new starters
