A precision engineering company in the UK is seeking a CNC Sliding Head Turner to produce small-batch, tight-tolerance components for medical and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in sliding-head operation and be confident in offsets, tool changes, and inspections. The role offers a pay rate of £20+ per hour with Monday to Friday shifts and an earlier finish on Fridays.

CNC Sliding Head Turner / CNC Lathe Setter-Operator

Machines : Star, Citizen, Tornos, or similar head machines

Controls : Fanuc or Mitsubishi

Material : Plastics (acetal, nylon, PTFE, PEEK) - small turned Parts

Work Type : Small-batch tight-tolerance components for medical, aerospace, or instrumentation

Experience required : 3 years + sliding-head/operating : confident with offsets, tool changes, first-off inspection

Inspection Tools : Verniers, micrometers, gauges

Shifts : Mon-Friday - 8-4:30 on Monday to Thursday & Earlier finish on Friday

Pay Range : £20+ a hour
