People Solutions is recruiting an experienced CNC Sliding Head Programmer / Setter for our client in Wolverhampton. The role focuses on programming, setting and operating Citizen Cincom L32 sliding head lathes to produce precision components according to drawings and specs.

The position is permanent, day shifts, with a competitive salary and clear career progression in a stable engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC sliding head machining experience.
• Experience programming and setting sliding head lathes.
• Citizen Cincom experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of tooling and machining processes.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating Citizen Cincom L32 sliding head lathes.
• Producing precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Setting tooling, offsets and machine parameters.
• Making programme adjustments to achieve required tolerances.
• Monitoring machining processes and component quality.
• Carrying out dimensional and quality checks.
• Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues.
• Maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety.
