Are you an experienced CNC Setter/Operator looking for your next opportunity in precision manufacturing?

The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and respected engineering client based in Wolverhampton, who is seeking a skilled CNC Milling Setter/Operator to join their production team.

The Role — What You'll Be Doing

As a CNC Setter/Operator (Milling), you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Your key duties will include:

  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines accurately and efficiently
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Ensuring correct tooling and fixtures are used for each job
  • Monitoring quality throughout production, making minor offsets/adjustments as needed
  • Identifying opportunities to improve cycle times and reduce waste
  • Ensuring all products are processed safely, with care taken to avoid damage or health hazards
  • Maintaining accurate stock and production records using a computer-based system
  • Supporting other team members and apprentices when needed
  • Promoting and adhering to health & safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices
