Job description

Do you have experience operating CNC lathes? Are you able to follow health and safety regulations? Can you read and understand technical drawings?

If so, this exciting new role could be for you! Our client specializes in the production of castings that are resistant to heat, corrosion, and wear, used across multiple sectors such as heat treatment, aerospace, waste incineration, and steel production. They are looking for a CNC Lathe Setter/Operator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC lathes.
  • Inspect finished parts using various measuring instruments.
  • Adjust machine settings with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain tooling and replace inserts as needed.
  • Complete deburring operations as required.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance.
  • Operate overhead cranes (training provided).
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.
  • Programming experience (ideally, but not essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Hours
  • Monday - Wednesday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
  • Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm
