Job summary

Prysmian is offering a CNC Programmer/Setter role at our Network Components factory. The position operates on a two-shift roster (7:00–15:00 in week 1, 11:00–19:00 in week 2) with 26 days holiday plus bank holidays and a range of healthcare and employee benefits.

You will program, set and adjust CNC machines to manufacture components to customer specifications. Successful candidates will have CNC setting experience and a relevant technical certification, plus a strong safety ethic.

Qualifications

• Previous CNC setting preferred and technical certification is required.
• Demonstrated safe working practices and good housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up and adjust CNC machines (multi and single axis) to manufacture glands, connectors and fixings to spec.
• Maintain work records and data as part of production reporting.

We currently have a position available in our Network Components factory for a CNC Programmer/Setter.

Working on a 2 shift roster, 7.00am-3.00pm week one and then 11.00am - 7.00pm week two.

The position

The role will primarily involve programming, setting, and adjusting a range of CNC Machines (both multi and single axes) in order to manufacture a range of components (glands, connectors, and fixings) to the correct customer specification.

The Successful Applicant Will

• Provide an excellent attendance and disciplinary record.
• Be able to demonstrate through examples what you would be able to bring to the role.
• Be able to provide examples of good housekeeping and health and safety standards. A strong safety ethic and personal safety record.
• Previous CNC setting preferred and technical certification is required
• Able to show enthusiasm and commitment to your work. You must have a positive attitude and be prepared to take the initiative and make decisions that support operational targets.
• Showcase team working and communication skills.
• Be able to demonstrate working well under pressure.
• Have strong problem-solving skills.
• Have Basic keyboards skills and IT aptitude for, maintaining work records and relevant data recording.
