Job summary

Mane Energy is seeking an experienced Saw Operator to join a busy structural steel manufacturing team in the United Kingdom. You will operate CNC band saws, drill lines, coping machines and laser cutting equipment to prepare structural steel components to production spec.

You will follow cut lists and schedules, load materials with overhead cranes, and perform routine quality checks while maintaining high safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy engineering is desirable.
• Ability to read and follow production documentation and cut lists.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Reliable, punctual and proactive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; health and safety commitment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC band saws, drill lines, coping machines and laser cutting machines.
• Read and follow cut lists, production schedules and work instructions.
• Load and unload structural steel using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
• Cut steel sections, fittings and profiles to specification with tight tolerances.
• Carry out routine quality checks and inspect own work.
• Safely operate CNC machinery and associated equipment per procedures.
• Support fabrication team by preparing materials efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and site regulations.
