Job description

Expanding Precision engineering/ tooling manufacturer have an opportunity for a senior programmer setter/operator and engineer to join the team.

The company work on cutting‑edge projects in the Aerospace, Military, and Automotive sectors and have a strong specialism with large parts.

Responsibilities
  • Program on and off line for 3 and 5 axis mills (software cross training available)
  • Set and operate a range of equipment
  • Work with diverse materials: variety of metals, composites, plastics and other materials
  • Apply engineering expertise: assess and calculate speeds and feeds tailored to specific materials for optimal efficiency
  • Interpret complex designs: translate intricate drawings into precise manufacturing processes
  • Mentor and collaborate: guide and share knowledge with junior engineers while engaging in team‑oriented projects that foster innovation
Qualifications
  • Significant experience: proven history as a CNC and CAD/CAM programmer, setter, and operator, preferably with exposure to die and mould tooling
  • Technical proficiency: familiarity with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls, as well as a deep understanding of machining processes and tooling techniques
  • Attention to detail: a meticulous approach with a strong commitment to producing high‑quality, precise work
