Job summary

Yolk Recruitment are partnered with a leading specialist manufacturer to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter to join their Bridgwater team. You will set and run CNC milling or turning centres, edit programmes and read drawings to ensure components meet tight tolerances to drawing.

The role operates a two-shift pattern with 6am–2.30pm Mon-Thu, 6am–12pm Fri and 2.30pm–11pm Mon-Thu / 12pm–6pm Fri, with shift allowance and benefits including pension, life assurance, free parking and cycle

Qualifications

Experience setting CNC milling/turning machines.
Experience programming or editing CNC programmes using CAD/CAM.
Ability to read engineering drawings and work to specification.
Self-inspection and maintaining quality; support other machinists when required.

Responsibilities

Setting and running CNC milling or turning centres.
Editing and adjusting programmes and machine settings as required.
Reading engineering drawings and producing components to specification.
Carrying out self-inspection and making adjustments to maintain quality.
Supporting operators with machine set-ups and less experienced machinists where required.
