Job summary

A manufacturing company in the Rochdale area is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator to work on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering or Manufacturing and experience with CNC programming and machining. Responsibilities include working with CNC machinery, producing metal products, and inspecting components. Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components.
  • Previous experience as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Miller / Turner.
  • Previous experience in a Machine Shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Working with CNC machinery and producing metal products.
  • Running multiple machines for small to medium batch work.
  • Inspecting components as required.
  • CNC Milling or Turning with varied controls.
  • Adhering to company health and safety requirements.

Skills

Programming software (Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar)
Experience with Grinding and Auto Coiling
Reading from engineering drawings
Ability to work alone and as part of a team

My client is a manufacturer bespoke metal products. They are looking for a CNC Programmer/Operator to join their team in the Rochdale area on a permanent basis.

Attributes
  • Time Served Apprenticeship in Engineering / Manufacturing
  • Experience with programming software (Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf, or similar)
  • Experience with Grinding and Auto Coiling
  • Have experience machining and manufacturing precision parts and components
  • Previous experience working as a CNC Operator / Machinist / Miller / Turner
  • Be able to read from engineering drawings
  • Have previous experience working in a similar Machine Shop environment
  • Be able to work well alone as well as part of a team
