CNC MILLER PROGRAMMER

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller to work for our client who are located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

Our Client are a long established Precision Engineering company that produces a wide variety of high-quality machined components that currently have an opening for a skilled CNC Miller Programmer, Setter, Operator to join our small friendly team.

We support several 'Blue Chip' customers across the country with their precision component requirements.

Main accountabilities

To programme, set and operate milling machines with Fanuc or Heidenhain control. Experience with other control systems would be considered.

Key skills
  • Previous programming, setting & operating experience producing 1 off's & small batches in a wide range of materials, including exotics.
  • Quality checking your own work using micrometres, bore mic's, etc.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Working to tight tolerances.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES & SKILLS
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working within a high precision manufacturing background or Apprentice trained
  • Experience producing high quality one offs and small batches
  • Excellent communication skills
THE HOURS

You will be working days 39 hours a week. Mon - Thurs: 7am - 5.15pm. Overtime Available.

THE PAY / BENEFITS

You will earn an hourly rate of £18 min. 257 hrs holiday (includes stats). 4 day working week. Overtime when required at x1.5. Working in a modern/ clean environment. Free car parking. Opportunity to use/ learn Fusion 360 CADCAM
