Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol desirable).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Job description

Overview

CNC Lathe Programmer to join a machining company based in Telford. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming machines from drawings, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality components for a range of industries. Competitive hourly rate available with a growing business with strong future prospects.

Main Duties

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc / Siemens / Mazatrol - depending on machines used)
• Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering instructions
• Work with a variety of metals and materials
• Carry out first-off inspections and use measuring equipment to check first offs and periodic monitoring
• Adjust tooling, offsets and machine settings to optimise production efficiency
• Responsible for proper operation of machines and tool / jig fixing
• Work as part of a team to support a busy production area

Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc, Siemens or Mazatrol desirable)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and programming from drawings

Current or recent experience as lathe programmer, CNC programmer, programmer turner, CNC Machinist
